An original French pressing for the reissue of a 1949 10" that included some bonus tracks recorded in '52. This is classic Art Tatum: insane technique mixed with speed and strong attention to melody. There's no one like him before or since, and this is a great record to start with if he is unknown to you.
Used, 1952 pressing. Cover is a strong VG, with a broken seam on the side, both ring wear and small written initials on the back, rough edges and corners, etc. It's old, and the paper stock was a little flimsy to begin with, but considering the age we are impressed. Vinyl is beautiful, VG++; some very slight surface marks that do not affect play at all. There is one scratch on side 2/track 6 but there's no noise from it during playing. Vinyl is housed in a new and generic white inner sleeve. All in all, this is a gorgeous record.
